New Book-”Omid’s Mission”-A Tribute To My Son
The story is a true journey about a young mother Victoria Yousefi who shares her story about living in Iran in the mid-1980′s when the Shah of Iran government was over thrown by the new regime. She writes about the tense times when everything in Iran changed drastically. She documents how she finally was able to leave Iran to transition to America with her three young children.
Upon settling into a new country she discovers that her young son Omid was diagnosed with a rare blood disease aplastic anemia.
Doctors and Researchers weren’t sure how to treat this devastating disease. Omid was a young boy with devine wisdom. He always had faith, love and courage. The book tenderly describes Omid and how he coped with his fatal disease. All the Doctors and Staff at NYC Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospital loved and adored Omid. He was a true hero. In fact, he sacrificed his life knowing that one day others will have a better chance to survive. He was always upbeat, optimistic and always cared more for other children that were going through aggressive treatments.The story will inspire everyone. The book has been nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.
