A History of Lladro and Their Porcelain Figurines by Francis Escamith
The pottery that we know as porcelain was initial transformed by the Chinese roughly one thousand years back. This pottery or porcelain then took lots of many years to evolve to where it truly is right now. As the method of washing and purifying the clay, incorporating various supplies that permitted the firing at an extremely increased temperature. (Around 1400 degrees centigrade.)
The word porcelain came from the term Porcellana, utilized by Marco Polo to describe the white ceramic figures, he identified during his historical journey for the Orient. Porcelain was released to Europe inside the 1500′s.
In the 1700′s the secret with the clay combination utilised by the Chinese, was discovered by Johann Bottger along with the Dresden Meissen Porcelain grew to become known. Porcelain arrived to be seen through the European Royalty, as being a highly prized luxurious product.
In 1953, from a tiny farming community near the city of Valencia, Spain arrived three brothers, Juan, Jose & Vicente Lladro.
