Hi, I hope you can identify the maker of my oyster plate.Pics are of the face and the only mark on the bottom?
I’ve looked for hours trying to identify it myself. I need your help with my search. Thank you

First thing I will say its an early piece because it does not have the country of origin. For exporting English, French and German had to mark the pieces with a country and that was 1885 I believe. Many plates are on ebay and they show the marks on the back, many used a factory mark like Meissen with would be three straight lines and a mark that crosses through.
I have Tea Pot from the 1790′s which is wonderful and I was able to id the pot on a trip to the Victoria and Albert Museum as factory ABC which they were not even sure. I would look on ebay once a week to see if anything will come up that is similar. A trip to Borders get some books on antique Oyster shell dishes. Get a cup of coffee and look through the books looking is free!!!!
